Physical Attributes: Natural Black Tourmaline is a hexagonal crystal. Minerals such as iron interact with metal elements which produce its black appearance. Vertical striations are common. Black Tourmaline is also found growing on and within other crystals, such as those from the quartz family, making them particularly unique.
