Source: There is just one known location for Ocean Jasper, and it is very difficult to get there. The mining of this mineral occurs at the foot of a cliff that is only reachable by boat during low tide. The precise position is along Madagascar's northeastern shore in Marovato, Ambolobozo, Analalava District, Sofia Region, Mahajanga Province.

Mineral: silicon dioxide mineral, and a member of the Quartz family.
