PETRIFIED WOOD 

Petrified wood originates from the trunks and branches of old wood, and technically it's both a fossil and a crystal. Each piece has an enormous variety of colours, with the inside body producing deep reds, browns, blues, and even yellows. The original ancient tree bark is frequently visible on the outside ring when the material is found cut. The majority of petrified wood available for purchase comes from Madagascar and Australia, while there are sporadic commercial deposits in South America and Africa as well.
