Septarian, also known as Dragon Stone, is a three-color concretion made up of limestone, which is grey, and aragonite, which is brown. The word "Septaria," which is used to describe any concretion with internal fissures or cracks, is where the name derives. During the Cretaceous Period of Earth's history, between 50 and 70 million years ago, this unusual mineral was produced. At that time, the molten sediment created by these powerful volcanic eruptions began to draw the attention of marine life.
